How do you enter competitions?

When it comes to entering dance competitions in New Zealand, there are two popular methods: Red Fridge Door and Glide App. These are two web-based programs. Majority of the dancing competitions use the Glide App which is run through WE Developments.

Handy Hint: Follow them on Facebook so you can see when competitions are being released, they also have a handy guide they can send you how to use their app for competition registrations. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083088383018

it's important to note that each competition may have their own preferred method for entries, so be sure to check their specific requirements via their social media channels (Which you can find on our competition page on this website) .

If you are confused, do not wait until the day of entries to ask questions to the organisers, do this ahead of time. You will need a credit or debit plus card as payment is at time of entry.

One crucial aspect to keep in mind is the timing of entries. Not only do Competitions open entries months in advance, when they do open entries for competitions can sell out incredibly quickly, sometimes in as little as two minutes or less. To ensure you don't miss out, it's essential to know exactly when entries open and set a timer or reminder for yourself.

If you have multiple children or siblings who are also interested in entering competitions, it's important to have another family member or friend available to help with entries. Due to capacity limitations, it can be difficult to get multiple dancers entered before entries close.

It's also worth noting, be sure to read through all entry requirements carefully and have all necessary information ready before entries open. By being prepared and informed, you can increase your chances of successfully entering the competitions you're interested in.
